Ethics and Conflicts of Interest

JS Regulatory Services will always conduct business with the highest ethical standards. We pride ourselves on providing evidence based, best practice solutions and advice. We are NOT an 'opinion for hire' service. Our clients will always be informed of any potential conflict of interest at the earliest opportunity so they can make a fully informed decision about using (or continuing to use) our services.

Work Health and Safety

Work Health and Safety (WHS) will be the paramount consideration of all JS Regulatory Services work. We will always comply with the WHS requirements of our clients and report any unsafe circumstances, near misses, and incidents in accordance with our client's system. We will never take unacceptable risks for the sake of getting the job done.

Energy and Resource Use

JS Regulatory Services believes that everyone has a responsibility to do their part to maximise the efficiency of energy and resource use. Our committment to this includes:
  • Operating a paperless office,
  • Utilising 100% renewable energy to power our office operations,
  • Using online meetings as far as practicable, avoiding unecessary and wasteful travel,
  • Purchasing only high efficiency electrical goods, and
  • Always exploring more energy and resource efficient options for our operations.

Privacy and Confidentiality

All dealings between JS Regulatory Services and our clients will be kept in the strictest confidence. Any information of these dealings will only be divulged to third parties with the explicit permission of our clients, or as required by law.
JS Regulatory Services has adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). This means:
  • We only collect our client's personal information for the purpose of doing business and (with our client's explicit permission only) to provide testimonials on our website. We will NEVER sell or otherwise provide your personal information to third parties.
  • Personal information will be stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss, and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.
  • When your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify it. Most personal information will be stored for a minimum of 7 years.
  • Clients may access the personal information we hold and may update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions.
  • JS Regulatory Services will take reasonable steps, from time to time, to make sure that our client's personal information is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

Support for Climate Action

All businesses, regardless of their size, have a moral obligation to do what they can, both directly and indirectly, to minimise their contribution to greenhouse gas emission resulting in climate change. In addition to our energy and resource efficiency measures, and as part of meeting this moral obligation, it is incompatible for JS Regulatory Services to provide services to:
  • New fossil fuel (i.e., coal, oil, and gas) based projects that commence after 1 January 2020, and
  • Extensions to existing fossil fuel based projects that commence after 1 January 2020.
