About Us
We love finding solutions that makes regulation work best for everyone.
JS Regulatory Services was formed in response to a clear need for specialist regulatory services: both for regulators and those being regulated. We have seen the full spectrum of 'regulatory fails', including:
- poorly drafted, unenforcable conditions that wastes regulator's time and increases the cost to business,
- regulatory officers undertaking their duties without understanding how to correctly use their powers,
- misinterpretation of regulatory requirements by business, exposing them to criminal prosecution,
- regulatory programs that have become a vehicle to raise revenue as opposed to changing behaviour, and
- knee jerk response to an issue resulting in poorly targeted, resourced, and implemented regulation.
Our greatest source of professional pride is to provide our clients with effective and practical advice and solutions. This can only be done by working closely with our clients, having a complete understanding of our client's needs, and delivering on our commitments.
We also recognise that the solutions and advice our clients require come in all sizes and forms, from interpreting the requirements of a letter from a regulatory authority, right through to the development of a comprehensive regulatory strategy along with accompanying policies. We will always tailor the advice or solution to meet our clients' needs, and it will always be evidence based and honest.
